This wall in my living room, which has some dark wood trim, has become my favorite place to relax. I love the way the darker wood contrasts the lighter wood upholstery. It’s a big contrast, but at the same time I love the way it looks. Most of the time I like to add a layer of white paint over the walls with some of the darker wood trim and then let it dry and then paint over it.
Dark wood is not always the best option. A dark color on white walls can be hard to read and make a space seem less substantial. So it can often be more pleasing to have it in a neutral color. In this case, I think the dark wood can make the whole space seem bigger and more intense.
That’s why I was so excited to see the new trailer for Dark Wood. Although it is a small trailer, it shows that the developers are definitely pushing the envelope with their art style.
