The unit that I have in my living room is a basic TV cabinet that has a couple of remote controls, a clock, and a volume dial. It is very basic, but I love it as it gives me the freedom to do what I want with it.
My TV unit is actually not the greatest. The screen is not HD, and it is very hard to adjust the brightness or adjust for color temperature. I can get better results by using an external HDTV, but it is a PITA to lug it around. It also doesn’t work in a lot of places.
If you don’t have one, there are other options. You can get an HDTV that has a tuner, or you can get a TV that comes with a tuner. Either way, the HDTV is not going to provide all the functionality of the unit. The tuner is a great option if you want to use it in a room that is too dark to use a TV.
I am so sorry to hear about your TV. I would love to see an external HDTV that would allow me to adjust the brightness and color temperature all the way down to the level of the HDTV I’m using, but that is a non-starter for me Wedding light.
I understand, especially if you are trying to find a TV that will meet your needs. But I would think that having a TV that does this would be a much better option than having an external HDTV that is only capable of viewing images in a darker room.
I can’t imagine a better option than the tv unit, but I do have to say that external HDTVs do tend to get a bit pricey, especially if you want to have the entire house available to you. It’s possible that if you have a TV unit that doesn’t just display images, but can also dim them, you could get away with a lower-tier unit than if you only had a larger external unit.
The problem is not only that external HDTVs tend to get very expensive. It’s also that they’re not the same as living room units, or at least not the same as living room units that have a television stand. Living room units are generally very small, and have much more limited settings than their external counterparts.
So if you have a large living room, you might have a TV unit that only dims images, whereas if you have a smaller living room, you might have a TV unit that dims images, but has a larger stand.
